Note: This guide is not final. It will be fully updated when iLiberty+ is released.

The Jailbreak/Activation/Unlock process for the iPhone is fast and easy with the new iLiberty+ application.

THE STANDARD TAB 

Jailbreak - By default, the iPhone jailbreak will NOT install any other software, but you can check the Installer checkbox if you wish to add that.

Activation - Checking the activation checkbox allows you to bypass the iTunes activation process. (i.e. you want to use a pre-paid SIM chip from the official iPhone carrier in your country, instead of getting a contract).

Unlock - Checking the unlock checkbox allows you to use the phone with any carrier that uses GSM anywhere in the world. (i.e. you are traveling and want to avoid roaming fees, or you are in a country that does not have an official iPhone carrier).

Installer - Checking this checkbox will add Installer, and app that enables adding 3rd party software over WiFi.

1. Restore phone to 1.1.4 using iTunes

Why restore? If you have a brand new phone, it may not be 1.1.4. If you've been using your phone for a while, the settings in the phone might conflict with patches being run by iLiberty+. Just save your photos to your computer, sync your contacts, calendar, etc. Then restore the phone, and setup as NEW, and re-sync your data using iTunes.

2. Download iLiberty+ from our Downloads, and run the setup.exe

3. Run iTunes and let it see your phone

4. Run iLiberty+ (it will quit iTunes and turn off the iTunes helper for you, if needed)

5. On the Standard tab, check the box(es) for Jailbreak/Activate/Unlock as desired.

6. If your phone came with 1.1.2 or later and has a 4.6 bootloader, check the box for Unlock with 3.9FB to unlock the phone via the reversible 3.9 Fake Blank bootloader method. See Guides for more information.

THE ADVANCED TAB  

7. If you wish to add other programs by using a special payload file, click on the Advanced tab. The Advanced tab contains sections for Selected, Available and Downloadable Payloads.

Just scroll through the list of options, and check the one you want. If you don't see what you want on the list, click on Downloadable Payloads and download one that you want.

8. Once you have selected/downloaded your payload, it will appear on the Selected Payloads list.

WARNING - DO NOT CHOOSE FONTS AND RINGTONES RELOCATION, THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS PAYLOAD. WE WILL BE FIXING IT SOON.

9. To finish your install, click back on the Standard tab, and click on Go for it!
